Next film night – Wed 27th August – suggestions welcome!

South Wales Anarchists now also put a film night together once a month.

We plan to publicise it each month both online and with posters/flyers.

Last month we showed Grasp the Nettle and as lots of people showed up, and had a good time, we want to keep it going!

For any suggestions on the next film, or future films, email us via the link on the left, or come along to tonight’s meeting:

8pm at O’Neils by the market, where we will discuss what we might show.

Future film nights could be anywhere across South Wales, so let us know if you want us to hold a film night in a venue nearer to you!

South Wales Anarchist’s Temporary move to Rummer’s Tavern

Due to our usual meeting place being closed for the time being, we are moving our weekly meetings to Rummer’s opposite the castle in Cardiff. We still meet every Wednesday at the usual time of 8pm. At these meetings we will also be discussing the anti-NATO mobilisation.

Bring your ideas! See you there.

Re-launch of South Wales Anarchists meetings

Meeting at the Tair Pluen, next to the Owain Glyndwr pub in central Cardiff, at 8pm on Wednesday the 12th of March.

Anarchists in south Wales have consistently been active in all kinds of struggles over the last few years, including migrant solidarityunion buildingFood not Bombs mutual aidpolice monitoringsquatting and creating social centers, opposing the bedroom tax, anti-fascism and much more.

We have been networking throughout this time, even with the absence of regular meetings. However due to the fact that so many active, organised groups have emerged (or re-emerged) over the last few years and as there is so much public interest in anarchist politics (not to mention the fact that so many anarchists are involved with the anti-NATO summit mobilisation) a re-launch of South Wales Anarchist meetings is timely.

Come and join us! As usual all are welcome except cops and journalists. As anarchists we seek to minimize hierarchy, so whether this is your first meeting or if you’re an old hand- we aim to be a network where all are equally respected and listened to.
